Having watched the very new trailer, I think Series 7 looks certainly promising and definitely looks the best yet not just under the era of Moffat but since its return in 2005. Sure I get excited about every Series even Series 3 which in my opinion was fairly poor. The Daleks are back in the very first episode and I reckon it could be the best series opener with not just the Paradigm Daleks coming back and also Russell T. Davies’ Daleks but also the return of the Classic Daleks which will be interesting. What is interesting is that the Daleks want to send the trio on some mission as usually the Daleks exterminate people straight away but that Dalek Council (if you want to call it that or Chamber) looks epic; anyway moving on.
We then see Doctor Who going all Primeval (one of my other favourite Sci-fi series) with the Raptors appearing on a spaceship which is of course titled (Dinosaurs on a Spaceship) which also looks interesting and the Doctor looks rather excited. I think this episode is going to be one of them episodes where if you enjoy it you will watch it again, if however you don’t like it then obviously you won’t or it could be it wasn’t a great episode but not bad either and you won’t mind watching it again but from what we’ve seen, it does look a pretty good episode.
We then see a new clip of A Town Called Mercy is episode 3 when the Doctor says, “Today, I honour the victims first. His, the Master’s, the Daleks- all the people who died because of MY mercy.” Adrian Scarborough makes his appearance in this episode as Kahler Jax. What people have noticed is the mark on his face which no doubt will be explained in this episode.
Another new clip this time from episode 5 which sees the return of the Weeping Angels and River Song but also sees the departure of Amy and Rory. This episode is the one I’m looking most excited. It looks a very good Weeping Angel episode. In this we see a new type of Weeping Angel which of course is called a cherub blowing Rory’s candle out which is reported where he goes missing as in scenes later he is not seen.
In the final part of the new trailer, from the first episode we see some Dalek remains that have been destroyed with the Doctor carrying Amy who looks hurt. Rory asks the Doctor, “Who killed all the Daleks?” The Doctor replies, “Who do you think?”
I think we’re in for what looks like a very action packed, epic, exciting season and hopefully rumours about the air date (25th August) remains true.
