Is River meeting the Cybermen?

Alex Kingston was spotted in Cardiff Bay on Saturday and was speaking to a few fans. She was requesting that fans do not post photos of her onto Facebook and twitter.

They have been filming the Neil Gaiman “Cybermen” episode recently, so could this mean that River Song is finally going to meet the Cybermen? Or are they filming for another episode while she is free to do so (could it be the finale??)

More information as soon as we get it.

I know this post is a month old now, but in an interview in Australia a couple of days ago she said “I haven’t filmed with the cybermen yet, but I have been around set when they were filming them.”
I think this report was right that she’s been filming…

I hope she is in another episode and it would be nice to see her with Cybermen and I like her and I think its a shame she seems to atract so much hatred from fans.

  I agree, she barely deserves all the negative opinions directed towards her.

  I don’t know which fans dislike her. I think she’s fantastic. The whole relationship with them meeting out of order was a stroke of genius. My guess is that fans that don’t like her simply have trouble following the idea. Some humans can just be so linear…
  But now after seeing The Snowmen, I have to wonder – are we well past his time with River? Is that another reason he’s been alone and redecorating for what seems like a very long time?

    The idea of lovers meeting out of linear event order is an idea that was first introduced to scifi in the second book of Piers Anthony’s Incarnations of Immortality called “Bearing an Hourglass” where the incarnations of Time and Fate had a little thing.
